Region 3B Results

The SBA track teams competed in hot conditions in Gettysburg on Thursday, May 17.  Afternoon high temperatures ranged into the 90s with mostly sunny skies.  The boys finished with 96.5 points and placed fourth as a team while the girls placed 5th with 63 points.  Several events were added to the state qualification list.  Megan Burma finished second to qualify for state in the 1600 run with a time of 5:48.1.  Kalli Quicke broke her own school record with a winning leap of 16' 10 1/2" in winning the long jump.

For the boys, Nolan Hamilton qualified in the 200 and 400 meter dashes.  He won the 400 with a time of 53.7 and finished second in the 200, running 24.3.  Joel Pedersen also qualified with a second place toss of 114' 2" in the discus.  Finally, the 1600 relay unit of Cole McClain, Christian Svennes, Titus Clark, and Brady Brockel won with a time of 3:36.4.  Below is a list of qualifiers for both teams as well as links to team results.  The Crusaders will compete at the state track meet in Rapid City on May 25 and 26.  Heat and lane assignments will be posted next week, hopefully by Tuesday morning.
