Jimmy Rearick Invitational Results

The SBA track teams competed at the Jimmy Rearick Invitational in Miller on Tuesday, April 30.  Wolsey-Wessington puts on this meet each year in memory of a young man from Wolsey who, several years ago, lost his battle with cancer.  The boys finished with two wins on the day.  Brady Brockel qualified for the state track meet in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:00.7.  The 4x400 unit that included Nolan Hamilton, DJ Beckwith, David Paul, and Brockel also was victorious with a time of 3:42.4.  For the girls, Renee Seaman finished second in the 3200 meter run with a time of 13:16.5.  Complete results can be seen by hitting the link below.

Ipswich Tiger Relays Results - 2013

The SBA boys' and girls's teams competed at the Ipswich Tiger Relays in Ipswich on Saturday, April 27.  The day was sunny and in the 70s with some wind, but a great day overall.  Brady Brockel set a new school record in winning the 400 meter dash.  His time of 50.3 broke Craig Hinman's previous mark of 51.47.  The boys' 4x400 meter team also placed first; team members were D.J. Beckwith, Nolan Hamilton, David Paul, and Brady Brockel.  The rest of the results for the boys and girls events are linked below.

Ipswich Tiger Relays Schedule and Setup

The SBA boys and girls compete at the Ipswich Tiger Relays in Ipswich on Saturday, April 27.  Field events start at 10:00 A.M. with running events starting at 11:00.  If you come, bring some sun screen - should be a great day for track.

Wagner Relay Results

The SBA boys' and girls' track teams competed at their first meet of the season in Wagner on Thursday, April 26.  This was a non-scheduled meet, but due to the many cancellations this spring, they let SBA in to compete at the meet.

The boys medley relay qualified for state with a time of 3:48.8.  Members of that unit were Soo Jae Lee, Chibueze Egeruoh, Nolan Hamilton, and Brady Brockel.  The boys also placed second in the 4x400 and fourth in both the 4x800 and 4x200 relays.  The link below will take you to meet results.

Lineups for the girls are posted below.  My computer isn't working here at home, so I will have to upload the boys' lineup in the morning.  Sounds like the weather will be OK; the athletes are excited to finally be competing in a meet.
