The Jimmy Rearick Warbird Invitational was held on Friday, May 9, 2014 in Miller on a beautiful sunny day with temperatures in the low to mid 60s with little wind. The boys won the team title with 99 points and qualified two more events for the state track meet. The 4x100 team of Seth Buer, Cody Buer, Sam Clark, and Cole Buer placed second with a state meet qualifying time of 45.9. Jaden Brockel placed third in the 800 meter run with a state meet qualifying time of 2:03.1. Three of the top four half milers in class B competed in that event. Cole Buer won the long jump with a performance of 18' 10 1/2". On the girls' side, Cassie Beckwith won the shot put with a throw of 31' 2" and Tricia Wilken won the 300 meter hurdles.
